Current Area of Interest:
My interests are in the marine inorganic carbon system and marine physical chemistry. I work on determining the uptake and storage of anthropogenic carbon by the oceans and the resulting decrease in pH. I am also working to improve the accuracy and precision of pH measurements in order to improve our abilities to monitor and study ocean acidification.

Why did you sign up for the cruise?
I applied for this cruise because I plan to do many research cruises throughout my career and I want to learn how to lead these cruises successfully. I have taken part in many cruises already, but have had only limited experience in the planning and logistics. This cruise provides a perfect opportunity to gain more experience.
